This is the Easter cake I made and brought to Mark and Wendy’s Easter dinner in 2002, to Jeannette & Yvan’s Easter party in 2003, and to my brother’s Easter dinner this past Sunday. How very Martha Stewart of me, huh? The recipe is below -

Rachelle & Abby, Montclair, NJ
When I moved to Chicago Mark & Wendy helped me load up the Uhaul. Wendy was so prego that she looked like she was going to burst. Well, shortly after Abby was born and on Saturday I spent the afternoon in Montclair, NJ so that I could finally meet her. She’s a beauty and is definitely the apple of her mom & dad’s eye.

Today, at 4 a.m. Mark & Wendy welcomed Abigail Lauren into their family. I wish I’d moved one month later so I wouldn’t have missed the baby shower & the birth but I will be seeing everyone soon enough. I’m so excited for them and for their families. Congrats & good luck to everyone!
