On Saturday night, Stephanie and I decided to go on a 2-hour Wendella Sunset Cruise. I’d been on the Wendella architecture tour a couple times, years ago (2006, 2008), and it has been fun, but I really enjoyed the sunset tour for something different. The guide on the sunset tour had some of the architecture tips, but we spent way more time on the lake just admiring the view. Very relaxing and so beautiful. When I worked on Michigan Ave., we used to go to Grand Lux sometimes for special lunches – someone’s first day, someone’s last day, someone in town, etc. There or else Bandera. You have to get the baked to order chocolate chip cookies if you go. They come out hot and melty and soooo good.

On Sunday we were going to go to the beach, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. We ended up going on a Wendella boat tour. The tour we chose was the hour-long Chicago River Architecture Tour It went on both the north and the south branches of the river, then just to the lake, and back to the dock at Michigan Avenue. Some facts on the tour I knew but there were tons I didn’t know. And it was cool to see everything from a different point of view. I spoke to Amanda a short while ago and she said Jess is still talking about riding the train and not about the long boat ride we went on!
