One good thing about all the rain that we’ve gotten over the past month is that New York’s drought is over and the water ban has been lifted. This is the first time I’ve seen the fountains in the city parks actually on.

Yesterday we saw Philip Seymour Hoffman walking through Washington Square Park. Well, Nancy only saw his fingers. I was nudging her whispering “Look, he’s famous, he’s famous!” and she thought I said “His fingers, his fingers!” and stared at his fingers as he walked past.
