Vincent D’Onofrio in SoHo

So last night we’re out on the sidewalk outside of Vintage where we just had a wine tasting. I notice there are a bunch of trailers.. like the kind that are around when something is being filmed. In the corner of the window of one of the trailers there’s a piece of paper that says “Law & Order: Criminal Intent“. I started getting excited and taking photos of the trailer and the sign since Law & Order is one of my favorite shows. Meanwhile, back on the sidewalk, everyone else is discussing how Criminal Intent is their least favorite Law & Order show. I get back to the group and Ted is doing his best Vincent D’Onofrio imitation, being all serious and striking a pose, when who walks up directly behind him? Vincent D’Onofrio. We asked if we could take a picture with him and he paused and then said “yes”. You’d think he’d be asked this all the time and he’d immediately say “yes” or “no”, but it was like he actually paused to think about it. As we all arranged around Vincent and handed my camera we were reminded by one of “his people” that “Vincent has a tight schedule, he only has a minute!”

It All Started at Vintage

At 5:00 the whistle blew and we bounded out of the office for a wine tasting at Vintage. After about 31 hours without sleep, Steve stared wearily at some goat cheese he refused to eat.

Wendy does the best fishy-face ever!

In an attempt to identify all of the animals that Mark would like to have brutally slaughtered for his dinner, Steve “baaaah”ed and “mooooooo”ed and Wendy made fishy-faces. The wine is obviously kicking in.

Steve went home, Mark went back to work (after purchasing an iPod.. bastard!) and Ted, Wendy, and I headed over to Shade for more wine and some crepes. We were able to convince Ted, who hadn’t slept in about 40 hours and had a bottle of wine in him, to let us meet his 21-pound cat, George. He’s a sweetheart. The cat, I mean. heh.

Vintage, Apple & the Sullivan Street Bakery

December 31st, 2002 · 1 Comment

So, last night I woke up in the middle of the night having a nightmare and deleted some stuff off my site. Today we just had a discussion of how small people’s bedrooms are in NYC and how close our computers are to our beds. And how this sort of thing has happened to all of us nerdy girls. Anyway, here’s the photo and stuff back from yesterday:

Wine Tasting at Vintage

Empanadas for lunch at Ruben’s lead to a wine tasting at Vintage lead to half-drunk heckling of a cute presentor at the Apple store in SoHo where Jeannette interrupted his presentation to give him a note with my website address and I ran, embarassed, down the beautiful glass stairs. On the way back to the office I got Pizza Patate at the Sullivan Street Bakery.
