I bought this book in hardcover from a discount book store about 9 months ago but never read it. I don’t know why. I loved Obama’s first book, Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.
Recently Obama won a grammy for spoken word for the audio version of The Audacity of Hope. (He’d also won for the audio version of Dreams from My Father.) I had accumulated good credit balance in iTunes from some gift cards I won, so I decided to buy the audio version of the book, even though I had the hardcover version. It took me about 2 weeks of listening on the walk to and from the train, but I finished the book this morning.
I liked The Audacity of Hope and it gave me even more confidence in my backing of Obama for president, but I really enjoyed Dreams from My Father more.
