Beer Lime

January 14th, 2012 · No Comments

Beer Lime. So, I guess this is “a thing” now. I saw it a couple of months ago while shopping at Strack & Van Til. Limes, packaged in a sleeve, available right next to the beer that you usually drink with a lime, i.e. Corona. According to the Beer Lime website, they first set out to package the limes conveniently and then found out that the packaging made them last longer. I saw this display at Strack & Van Til that paired wines with cheeses and had the wines and cheeses right there for purchase. Not only that, a chart showed what order you should eat the cheese and drink the wine. Pretty handy! Too bad I wasn’t hosting a wine and cheese tasting anytime soon.

This was all sponsored by Fetzer Vineyards and Artisanal Cheese. If you go to the Artisanal Cheese site, you can see an interactive “cheese clock.” (Screenshot below.)

Is This Proper Pluralization?

September 15th, 2010 · 5 Comments

I always thought the plural of “crab rangoon” was “crab rangoon.” When do you ever order “crab rangoons” in a restaurant?

I saw these in the frozen seafood section at Strack & Van Til.

Koh, can I get a ruling?
