The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest is the final book in the Millennium trilogy. The first two books were The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire. I loved these books so I was sort of sad to read this last one, knowing Stieg Larsson is dead and there will be no more books. The Girl Who Played with Fire
is the follow up to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
, which I read back in February. I loved the first book and I loved the second book. I’m so looking forward, but also dreading, the final installment The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest
. Only dreading because it’s the last book for sure, since Stieg Larsson is not alive to write any more!

This was the best book I’ve read in a long time. I loved it. It’s made of some of my favorite elements: International locations, mysterious main characters, digging into history to solve a crime, unforeseen plot twists, a bit of gore but not too much, etc. If you like murder/mystery/thrillers, you’ll like this book. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read the next two books in the trilogy. Although I am saddened to find out that there will be no more books because Stieg Larsson died before any of these were even published. Kind of like when I got into the band Sublime in the late 90s then realized that the lead singer, Bradley Nowell, had just died. Grr. Always late to the party.
