Saw this book “Wookiee Cookies: A Star Wars Cookbook” at Borders. I know plenty of Star Wars geeks, but non that bake. I think it’s a rare combination.

Webster Place & Webster’s Wine Bar, Sheffield Neighbors, Chicago

Sunday evening after seeing Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith at Webster Place we walked across the street and had a glasses of white wine at Webster’s Wine Bar. It was an awesome night. Warm and sunny. The antipasto plate we shared had artisan salamis, smoked mozzarella, podda sheep’s milk parmesan and a bunch of olives. All Around Town

November 10th, 2001 · Comments Off

I saw the same street dancers that I saw on Thursday.. this time in Times Square.. and this time they added a really HOT tall Michael Jackson impersonator dancer. whew!

You know how it is when you get in your car to go somewhere and you have your mind on other things and all of a sudden you wake up and realize that you were on auto-drive towards work or some other frequently traveled destination and you’re miles away from where you were supposed to be going? That’s how it is when you get in a familiar subway line, sit down, space out (or read a book) and wake up 5 stops past your intended destination. Ooops.

Overheard being said by a family of tourists on the subway today. "So, what do you want to "do" first? The Empire State Building, Ground Zero, or The Statue of Liberty?" What about the people that died? What about the police officers and fire fighters that are down there everyday? What about a city in turmoil? To these people Ground Zero is just another stop of the list of tourist attractions. Made me so angry.

So then I was walking up 18th Street on my way to Bed Bath & Beyond and I was looking across the street at a lighting store and an art store as I walked. I turned my head back to look in front of me and there stood two Stormtroopers and Darth Vader. Some geek Star Wars convention in Chelsea.
