Black History Celebration

Every year at Makai’s school they have a Black History celebration. Since Makai’s class is the oldest, they did a whole song with hand motions and everything. It was really cute. They sang We Shall Overcome.

Kaunish, Chris Dz, Erik

 Mike

 Eric + Janet
 Sam + JP

 Tom + Vinay

 Jeff + Henry

Henry and Jeff were the big winners!

QuikOrder had a spring outing at Spin, the ping pong bar. We did a tournament and I was glad to be paired with Molly, who’s ping pong skills are just as poor as mine. We got out in the first round, and then were free to do whatever we wanted. 🙂 Jeff and Henry were the bing winners of the night!

Team Outing at Headquarters…

…on one of my final days on the project. <sadface>

Sam, Rachelle, Sakshi

We were at the downtown location of Headquarters Beercade where they have about 1,000 cassette tapes!

Vinay + Rachelle, not growing up!

Jeff + Ronak, shooting it out!

A threat from Jeff!

Reminded me of my Atari youth!

Sam + Fletcher playing ping pong.

FullSizeRender-5EVERYONE!

Meenasha did a great job again this year coordinating our office secret santa gift exchange and party. This is seriously one of my favorite office events. It’s so much fun! This year we had something like 40 participants. I wasn’t sure how we’d get through everyone in an hour, but we managed.

I was assigned Chris’s name in the exchange. I know him pretty well, but for some reason, was still having a tough time figuring out what to get him! I ended up getting him some hot sauce from Nando’s Peri Peri and a gift card for the restaurant. I’d been there with him before and he really liked it.

My secret santa was Thomas and he got me two really nice candles. One was “gray flannel” scent, which everyone was really interested to smell. I don’t know him really at all, but he did good!

Meenasha also brought my new favorite holiday drink, coquito, which is like a Puerto Rican eggnog. So delicious.
