My coworker Eric is moving to New York and last night was his going away party. Eric grew up in Boston and he and Laura moved to Chicago a couple years ago when Eric started working at FeedBurner. As you can see he loves the Boston Red Sox. The bar that we went to, Tripoli, is a Red Sox bar that Eric frequents. Last night many, many, many buckets of Miller High Life were consumed. Too many! But Dallas and I had a great time. Best wishes to Eric and Laura for the future.

Some of Dallas’ friends from Boston were in for the weekend. On Friday night we went to a Boston Red Sox v. Chicago White Sox game. Appropriately, the giveaway that night was 2 pairs of Hanes socks. They came in handy in the 90+ degree heat. Dallas looked like some kind of pimp.. it was him and 9 girls. Luckily we got Cousin to come sit by us and help relieve Dallas of some of the pimping duties.

Last night we went to the Wild Goose for some cheap food, drinks and Game 7 of the Red Sox/Yankees series. Killian and I each had a bowl of chili and Dallas had a burger and fries. Total cost of dinner for three, excluding drinks: $2. Killian picked up the bill. He’s a high roller like that.

Um. Go Yankees ?

Go Yankees?

I’m not a huge baseball fan, but you better believe I’ve been watching the games these past few days!

- Florida Marlins beat Chicago Cubs, 9-6 in Game 7
- New York Yankees beat Boston Red Sox, 6-5 in extra innings in Game 7

I don’t really have a strong allegiance to any of the teams. I thought it would have been cool for the Cubs to go, and I suppose I was routing for the Yankees because they’re the home team. Nobody can dispute that they’ve been some really exciting games this series. Saturday is the first game of the Florida v. NY World Series. Let’s hope it’s as lively!
