Cash.
It seems so antiquated, but it’s my new way of budgeting. If I have 5 dollar bills in my hand and I spend 2 of them on a Stella Artois, it’s easy for me to see that I only have $3 left to buy my dinner. Looks like I’m having pizza. Again.
On the other hand, if I have 5 imaginary dollars and the real ones are locked far away somewhere and I use the magic card to pay for things, it’s easy to spend $6 on 3 beers, get drunk, buy 3 more and then realize I have no money for dinner – tonight or the next 3 nights. Looks like I’m screwed. And hungry.
Cash: It’s so simple!
PS. You know this is only an example to prove a point because only in my dreams could I buy a domestic beer in Manhattan for $2, let alone an import like Stella.
