The weather while I was visiting Toronto was not good. It wasn’t too cold, but it was snowing and raining a lot. So, a lot of us conference attendees figured out the underground/indoor/skywalk PATH system. This system of walkways reminded me a lot of Chicago’s Pedway system, except it was way nicer and not as hobo-y. No hobos at all, in fact. (I passed by about 6 in the Chicago Pedway this morning, but this is a whole different discussion….)

The MTCC (Metro Toronto Convention Center), where the conference was held, was conveniently hooked into the PATH system via a skywalk. The first day that Becky and I ventured out into it, we got turned around a couple times in the train station area. Never fear! Polite Canadians to the rescue. We only had slightly puzzled expressions on our faces when complete strangers walked up to offer their help. Awesome. By the end of our stay in Toronto we had the PATH down. Of course, then it was time to leave. That’s how it always works!
