There’s only one thing I hate more than software and OS reinstallation and that is vacuuming, but I had to do it for Ruby. My eyes are blurry from being up half the night backing up her data, erasing her drive, reinstalling Jaguar, and then reinstalling all my software. What a pain! Ahh.. I could now relate to all the mothers of the world, as I muttered, “Ruby, the things I do for you, the things I do for you!” Hopefully this disease that’s been plaguing her for the past month is gone. Thanks, Mark, for letting me borrow your portable drive.

Eleanor!

(Whenever I hear that name I think of the movie Annie when they go and visit FDR and sing the song Tomorrow and FDR says “Sing, Eleanor, Sing!” I love that movie. I used to have hair just like her.. .little white girl afro. And I used to sing Tomorrow for my solo in music class…. that and Country Roads.)
Anyway, I knew Eleanor was reading my site because she wrote me email when I upgraded my Mac OS.. it was a crazy week.. I honestly can’t remember if I responded but I thought of it a few times since then. If I didn’t respond, definitely upgrade! So, Jeannette told me today that Eleanor has a site and when I went to it she was linking to me. Yay! So I’ve added a link back on the right sidebar. Everyone check it out! Also, Jeannette was kind enough to show me a photo this morning of them at their high school graduation. Eleanor, you have justified reason to kill her now!

Yesterday I upgraded to Mac OS X v10.2 (Jaguar). So, far things are running much more tightly, faster, cleaner.. My favorite new app, thus far, is iChat. It’s so fun! There are definitely features lacking, though.. I think in a few days the funness will wear off and I’ll go back to using my regular chat client to get the functionality back. Eagerly awaiting Apple’s release of iChat v2 (please!).
