While waiting for my car to get serviced at Nal’s, I decided to check out this place just across the street and down a bit called Crepes a Latte. I got the marshmallow latte and a dark chocolate raspberry crepe. I thought both were delicious.
The cafe is really cute inside. Very whimsical. The storefront is really wide and all along the front window they have a counter. On the counter they have built in iPhone charging stations, which I thought was pretty cool.
Check it out next time you’re on Irving Park Road there, or heading to the Irving Park Brown Line.

Ice Late, Taqueria Moran, Logan Square, Chicago
When we first moved to Logan Square, this “Ice Late” sign irritated me.. but now? Not so much. For one, the food at Taqueria Moran, where the sign is posted, is fabulous. We eat there at least once per week. And for two, “whatever.” At least they spelled Pina Colada right! Still there are multiple “Ice Late” signs in the windows. I kind of want to just steal them and add a “d” and a “t” where needed.

Latte at Cafe Henri, Long Island City, Queens
On Sunday we had brunch at Cafe Henri. This is my bowl mug(?) of latte. We loved all the food. I had Le Croque Madame, an open-faced egg sandwich the ham near the country bread and with the cheese nice and toasted and an egg on the top. On the side was a salad. We liked everything we had so much and wanted to try so many other things on the menu that we joked about coming back for every meal, or at least for brunch the next day too.. but sadly we didn’t. I do think we’ve broken the Tournesol habit though (see here and here).
