Deja Dead (Temperance Brennan Novels) by Kathy Reichs

I don’t really care for the popular TV show Bones, but I always thought the concept was cool. The show is based off a series of books that were actually written by a forensic anthropologist (Reichs). I thought I’d give the first book in the series a try and I really liked it, exception being that some parts were super graphic so gruesome that I had to skip them. Guess that is the downside of having a specialist who really knows what she’s talking about actually writing the books. Also, the book was much different than the TV series. Not necessarily a bad thing :). Maybe the book series eventually goes to where the show it, but the first book had Tempe living in Montreal and not working at a museum and teaming up with the FBI. Her role is Director of Forensic Anthropology for the province of Quebec. She works with the Montreal and Quebec police.
