Gothamist TShirt

February 1st, 2004 · 16 Comments

Rachelle - Gothamist TshirtOne of the things I wanted to get before I move was a Gothamist tshirt to have in Chicago as a reminder of my favorite New York website. August 8 – August 11, 2001. Vacation in Cape Cod. West Yarmouth, MA. We stayed at Jessica’s Aunt Mau(reen) & Uncle Jimmy’s house.

Friday, August 9. After hitting the J.Crew Warehouse sale, we spent all day on the beach. Jody, Jen, Jess.

Jessica dips her feet in the water.

Technically, the sky wasn’t cloudless.

Jen, Julie, and Jessica get into a fierce smashball competition.

Lobster friend.

Lobster dinner!

Jane, Jessica’s mom made dinner. Lobster stuffed with shrimp dressing,
sour cream and chive potatoes, corn on the cob, and margaritas. Julie, Jessica, Rachelle.

Saturday, August 10. Again, all day on the beach. Jessica’s grandmother, Shirley.

The beach today is a private beach on Lewis Bay that Jessica’s grandmother, Shirley, sits on the board of directors for. Rachelle, Julie, Jessica.

Julie pretends she’s a movie star.

Andy is Julie’s first 6-year-old boyfriend of the day. Later on we meet Sal, who is her second 6-year-old boyfriend of the day.

The sand is naturally littered with seashells. Beautiful, but rough on the feet.

Jess left to get us margaritas and sweatshirts so we could stay on the beach and watch the sun set. We also played Rummikub.

As the sunset faded, so did our vacation.

I returned from Cape Cod late last night feeling refreshed and rejuvenated thanks to Jess & Julie, Mau(reen) & Jimmy, and Jane & Joe.
