I checked out the 4th book in the Harry Potter series from the Kindle Lending Library. It took me a long time to read! These books get longer and longer, right? I just looked and book 3 was 452 pages and book 4 is 734. And book 5, which I checked out on Oct. 1, just in time for vacation, is a whopping 901 pages!

Still enjoying reading these books. I actually read the first four of them a long time ago. So one more re-read and then I’m on to the three that I have never read. Funny thing I noticed when I logged into Amazon to look at this book. They had a banner running along the top that told me I purchased this book on Amazon on December 1, 1999! I guess that’s when I read it the first time around. Almost 13 years ago! I remember reading some of these in San Diego, and this makes sense. I moved there in January 2000. At least I’m not rebuying for the Kindle. I have been checking the books out from the Kindle Lending Library.

The Harry Potter series of ebooks are now in the Kindle lending library so if you have an Amazon Prime membership you can borrow them for free. About 10 years or so ago I started reading the series but only got to book 4. I decided to start over from the beginning, now that they’re free. Book 1 was just as good as I remember. I read it so quickly. Too bad you can only borrow one book per month from the Kindle library. Waiting out these last few days in June to rent the second book has been torture!
