Besides going to Wisconsin this weekend for my mom’s birthday, I went up because my cousin Kelly and her husband Jeff were in town from Virginia for a party in their honor. Their first baby, a daughter, is due to make an appearance in early February and we’re all so excited!

Katie’s 4th Birthday

My cousin Kelly’s daughter, Katie’s, birthday party is usually right around Christmas when I am home so I usually attend so that I can see their family and also other members of my extended family on my mom’s side. This year Katie is 4. Also, here are some photos from her party last year.

Matt, Dominic and Katie’s dad Corey is my cousin Kelly’s husband. He’s an outdoorsman who loves to fish and hunt. This fish that’s mounted on the wall kind of freaked me out. It looks scary!

The kids took turns whacking this Dora the Explorer pinata. It seems weird for a kid to pick out a pinata of a cartoon character they like and then basically pummel and decapitate it to get to its insides, no?


Kelly helps Stephanie take a turn at abusing Dora as Katie looks on hoping it will be the hit that makes the candy fall!

The Grand Theater in New London used to be a craphole that we paid $1.50 to get into and then just screwed around for the entire length of the movie. Now it’s totally been restored. My brother and I left the party and saw Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

Wow. My Little Brother is Married.

I’m home from the land of beer, cheese, brats and Packers. My little brother is married and on his way to Jamaica as we speak. A move to Oak Creek (Milwaukee) awaits his and Amanda’s return from their honeymoon.
