January 12th, 2003 · Comments Off

Thanks, Nancy, for coming out to visit. I had a great time!!!!

January 8 – January 12, 2003. Nancy’s Vacation in NYC. Rachelle & Nancy at Washington Square Park. Right after we took this photo of ourselves, Josh called. Then right after that, we walked past Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

We went shopping. A lot. Here, Nancy tries on a hat at Urban Outfitters.

Nancy finds something she’s interested in at Dean & Deluca.

I tried on a cute hat at FCUK in SoHo. Then we got reprimanded for taking a photo inside the store. Bleh. Whateva!.

The New York City skyline from Jessica’s rooftop. The green and red building is the Empire State Building. The building with the white top to the right of it is the Chrysler Building.

New York’s Village Halloween

October 31st, 2002 · Comments Off

The rest of these photos are from the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. Derek & friends as cast members of the The Match Game, Gene Rayburn, Charles Nelson Reilly, & uh.. I don’t know.

There were lots of huge scary monster puppets.

George W. Bush

And lots of crazy costumes.

After almost being squished to death on the street, we went up to a friend’s apartment to watch the parade from above. The apartment was above the Waverly Restaurant on 6th Avenue.

The float float sponsored by the Costume Network is pumping out music and there are about 100 people with inline skates on who are dancing down the street.

A band called Dirty Lenin plays on this float.

Just trying to go home and escape the madness now! The Slaughtered Lamb Pub.

Drag Queen on Christopher Street.

Someone had this cute little bunny out. Not sure why. On Halloween in The Village you don’t really ask “why?”.

Like why this guy has this huge snake on McDougal.

Empire State Building.

New York’s Village Halloween Parade. It was a crazy freak-fest. The two biggest freaks? Jill & Jess.
