Four Blondes by Candace Bushnell

I brought this book with me when we visited our friend’s lake house last month. I wanted something just light to read and this was fine. The first story in the book was interesting enough. When I got home I tried to read more, but just couldn’t. This book is just horrible. I’ve read a few Candace Bushnell novels, and I know they’re not Shakespeare, but I can’t even force myself to waste my time getting through this crap.

One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell

I was a huge fan of the TV series Sex and the City, which was based off a book by the same name that was written by Candace Bushnell. Even though the show was on years ago and I loved it, I never read any of Bushnell’s novels before now. One Fifth Avenue is about the residents who live at the address that is the book’s title. It was an easy, end of day, fun read. Like Sex and the City it contained large doses of sex, drugs, gossip, backstabbing, murder, society and New York City.
