Just arriving at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Lots of people were there.. a beautiful day.

Eddie and Jess are forced to pull the map out and be our guides for the day.

Yesterday was my first venture into Brooklyn. Well, the first one that I’ll admit. Alessandro and Eddie took Jessica and me to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It’s like the Garden of Eden in the middle of Brooklyn. Beautiful and relaxing. Being surrounded by lilacs, roses, and cherry blossoms created an amazing smell. Itching from rolling in the grass and rubbing our eyes and sneezing from the pollen, we all realized how much we are wussy city kids.
On the walk home from Brooklyn, we saw amazing views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty at the waterfront. We walked over the historic Brooklyn Bridge and on into lower Manhattan. Today, it feels like we walked 100 miles, but I’m sure it was only between 5 and 10.
