Visiting the only Olive Garden in Chicago

I probably have not been to Olive Garden for 15-20 years. Really looked forward to it after the commute I had! It took one hour for the train to move from one station to the next. We were stuck in between. When we got to the station I got out and walked to the Brown Line. Dallas picked me up near the Addison Brown line station and we drove straight across Addison to Olive Garden! This is the only Olive Garden in Chicago and is near our new house, so we decided to give it a try. I heard that it gets SUPER busy on the weekends with a long wait.  People love to come ironically and nostalgically. Bonus points to the waitress who didn’t know the difference between Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Her screw up scored me double wine!

Fire on the Blue Line

I thought something smelled odd when we pulled into the Chicago Blue Line station. But sometimes the train just smells bad. We were stopped for a few minutes when suddenly everyone ran out the door. I got up and hauled butt out of there. And across the platform. And up the stairs. The train was on fire. The Milwaukee bus was crazy packed immediately, so I got an Uber shared ride home. While I was waiting I saw several fire engines pulling up to check it out.
