Kincade’s, Lincoln Park, Chicago

Toons, Lakeview, Chicago
After apartment shopping all day, Kristin and I met up with friends to watch some college basketball games at Kincade’s. It seems like a lot of people here are into college basketball. I never was a fan of it.. and I usually only watch pro basketball when it’s the playoffs. Still, it was nice to sit and have a beer after a long day. OHmygod. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy… thisismynewfavoriteshow. Basically, 5 gay men sweep into a straight guy’s life and completely make it over. Kyan grooms him, Ted teaches him to cook, Carson does his wardrobe, Jai helps him brush up on his social skills, and Thom redecorates his house. The guy goes in looking like a scary creep you’d run away from on the street and comes out with the ladies begging for his number. And it’s sooooo funny.
Bravo is also airing a series called Boy Meets Boy which is a twist on the traditional dating show. There is one gay man and 15 potential mates.. only some of them are straight and he doesn’t know it! I love Antiques Roadshow and Inside the Actor’s Studio just as much as the next person, but this is JUST what Bravo needed to do to revive their network.
