Last month my parents and Jessica came down and visited for the weekend. Liberty Bank, in Logan Square, was hosting a free Kids Fun Festival and a band called The Dreamtree Shakers was playing so we went to check it out. The Dreamtree Shakers are a kind of alt-folk kiddy band and at least one of its members has a history with the Old Town School of Folk Music. I think it might have been a little too “kiddy” for Jess, but Makai loved it. It was kind of strange to sit in a bank and watch a band, but it was a pretty cool thing for Liberty Bank to do and a lot of people packed in with their kids!

After the show, we walked over to Radler for brunch. This has become a go-to for me for brunch because 1) it’s great and 2) I’ve never had to wait. Nothing like German beers and milk bottles!

Later on we took Jess and Makai to see the Easter Bunny in Roscoe Village. It was a nice day and we had the stroller so we walked all around and popped in and out of the stores. Jess ended up getting this cool Badgers hair bow.
