While staying in the Kiahuna Golf Village, I took advantage of the quiet streets to walk a couple miles in the morning. I knew I’d be taking in my fair share of fruity drinks and local foods, so I was trying to counter balance. Plus, who doesn’t want to take a walk around paradise in the morning? And each time I walked past the Kiahuna Golf Club and Joe’s on the Green, where we got married last year.
I didn’t get to walk every day, but tried to every day that I could. The Descendants soundtrack was the perfect music to accompany my walks. I love this soundtrack. Read Soundtracking ‘The Descendants’ With ‘Real’ Hawaiian Music and buy it here.
One thing I have kind of mixed feelings on is all of the development going on in Poipu. The town has changed so much since my first visit in 2004. The biggest change being the Kukui’ula development. Around Kiahuna, there are many signs for lots and houses for sale. I’m positive one day we’ll come back and these empty roads and fields will be filled with expensive houses. I know you can’t stop development, but I miss a quieter Poipu and I miss these undeveloped areas already, even though the building hasn’t begun yet.
