One more exciting thing from our weekend at the lake house, but let me back up a month. When I was last in New York, Dallas went up to the lake house. All the guys there thought it was a super good idea to go to Uncle Mike’s Pub and get some ghost pepper wings. Sara and Christine were texting me the play by play, including photos like this:
Dallas looks like he got punched in the face!
And Dallas was texting me to tell me how horrible it all was. So, I thought “ok, well, that’s the end of that.” Um… .yeh… so you probably know where this story is going. We were up at the lake house again and they all thought it would be a great idea to do it again.
Uncle Mike’s Pub Wings Menu
The ghost pepper wings are served with 5 in an order, which was perfect. Sara and I wanted no part of it, but the other five – Kelly, Todd, Dallas, Brian and Decker – were all into it and would eat just one wing each. Decker and Kelly had never had the wings before. How did it go? I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves. Let’s just say this was a NIGHT ENDING IDEA.
Wings are served with milk.
Oh Decker! So happy and innocent, before his first wing. All is good.
Dallas biting into his wing. All is still good.
Kelly. All is not good. She touched her nose and it was on FIRE!
Todd. All is not good.
Dallas. Not looking good. He touched his eye by accident.
Decker had to leave the table and go for a walk outside.
Brian. Trying not to cry!
Yikes. Do not try this at home. Also, FWIW, the menu says you have to sign a waiver to eat these wings and our waitress said so too, but we never did.
On a side note, this was in the women’s bathroom:
Spotted on the way out.
