I was kind of bummed when the Berry Chill frozen yogurt store closest to my office closed. I didn’t visit a ton, but when I wanted a somewhat healthy snack I liked to swing by. Then I realized that a new Starfruit Cafe was even closer to the office, in the Merchandise Mart.
Starfruit Cafe sells frozen kefir, instead of frozen yogurt. According to them, this is even more healthy because kefir has 10 live probiotic cultures when yogurt typically only has 2 or 3. These good bacteria aid in digestion, boot immunity, promote weight loss, help fight lactose intolerance, prevent some side effects from antibiotics and help lower cholesterol.
The taste is similar to frozen yogurt. And the toppings available are similar to what Berry Chill or a Pinkberry would have. I usually get a plain/original flavored kefir with fruit and sometimes Milk & Honey granola on top.
OMG, I LOVE Milk & Honey granola. Thanks for the reminder. I didn’t realize I could order it on their website. YAY!
I used to always buy Milk & Honey granola. They sell it at Whole Foods and some other stores here. Now I just make my own granola.
