Nice Slice Pizza Bar Preview

Nice Slice Pizza Bar is not expected to open for another month or two, but on Sunday I was invited to a preview. This is a project down the street that I’ve been following/stalking for some time (see here and here), so of course, I said yes. I talked with the restaurant’s partners about their plans for the space and with other employees about the menu and the beers that will be featured. The head cook was testing out the pizza oven and cranking out many different pizzas, most of which I tried. I don’t want to reveal too much, so I’m only posting a few of the photos I took – the bar, some of the tables, and the pizza oven. Can’t wait for this addition to our neighborhood!

  1. Thanks for the sneak peek, I read something about this place last week. As I get off the train at Cali everyday, I was just stumped on which building it was. Too bad I’ll have to move out of the area soon as I’m sure rents will start to raise soon….

  2. I hope that won’t be the case, Chris!

I’m really excited about the progress of this place and Letizia’s. As for Masada… geesh, I just want to tell them to get it done! Stat. We could sure use a good middle eastern restaurant around here.

  3. I forgot to post this earlier today, but Nice Slice had its grand opening tonight. I was invited, but had a conflict. Also, it’s called Boiler Room now.
