Last night I took another stroll past the Nice Slice Pizza storefront and one of the windows was uncovered. I took this spiPhone photo. You can see things are progressing inside, but it still seems to be far from being ready.

I can’t really tell what they’re doing but it looks like the guts of the place is substantially complete. I wouldn’t be surprised if they finished within a couple months–you’d be surprised how quickly the internal finishes move once the drywall goes in.
The photo is kind of hard to see because I was getting the reflection of lights and the el across the street. I’d say a few months is a good estimate. Summer? For some reason I thought they were shooting for Spring.

Hello, there neighbor! Yeah, right down the street. Thanks for the tip on the shades. I think we’ll go order them this weekend.
I believe the brand of blinds we got are Bali.. but I didn’t really research whether those are the best.. I think I was just clueless, they looked good, and they were on special at Home Depot at the time I was there! I guess we lucked out.
Considering how low the light must have been, that’s not too bad for an iphone cam picture.
I got off the train yesterday and just caught a glimpse of the new windows that went in. I was in a hurry so I didn’t bother to go investigate but they looked like the kind that can open all the way to the side. That’ll be nice in the summer time. Progress!
