This was the best book I’ve read in a long time. I loved it. It’s made of some of my favorite elements: International locations, mysterious main characters, digging into history to solve a crime, unforeseen plot twists, a bit of gore but not too much, etc. If you like murder/mystery/thrillers, you’ll like this book. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read the next two books in the trilogy. Although I am saddened to find out that there will be no more books because Stieg Larsson died before any of these were even published. Kind of like when I got into the band Sublime in the late 90s then realized that the lead singer, Bradley Nowell, had just died. Grr. Always late to the party.
I just finished this book as well! I have the next one in the triology on hold at the library. I loved the story and writing style.
The 2nd book — The Girl Who Played With Fire — is even better, in my opinion. I can’t wait for the 3rd one to come out!
Hi there Rachelle.
I’m not one for mysteries so I will pass on this book, instead for me it’s not the Dragon Tattoo it’s The Girl With The Far Away Eyes…
