Thanks, Colleen! I asked Dallas to call Rob, but wasn’t sure if he did. He was making a lot of phone calls these past few days and I don’t think he really likes talking on the phone!
Hahahhahha. You and Theresa and Nicholas were the first to know! Weeks ago. Were you doing undercover work? Busting in on us at the jewelry store! Who sent you!!??!
Haha. Imagine how Mike (comment above) felt. He and his wife and son walked in on us a few weeks ago when we were at the jewelry store and he’s been keeping quiet this whole time!
I have had TOTAL WEDDING FEVER lately (not for my own, but just wanting SOMEONE to have a wedding) so I am glad that you might be able to bring my temperature down.
Huge, huge, huge congratulations. And you get major bonus points in my book for having the appropriate amount of revernce for this occasion with your blog post title.
We have decided that going down to two weddings this year (yours and Cory’s) was not enough, so we have joined the engagement wave (Trent, Christina all within weeks of each other).
Were so happy for both of you.
Nice photos.
And the ring is beautiful.
It was hard not to tell everyone
The pressure is off
We can breath comfortable now.
Have great time in New York

Huge, mega, ultra, heaps of congratulations to both you and Dallas, Rachelle.
Excellent way to announce the engagement by the way … highly encourage thinking about getting a photo booth for your wedding too! We made it a must-have for ours and it was a huuuuuuuge hit.
Cheers! To great news for a great couple.
Best of luck. Thanks for sharing with all who view your site. Love your photos – personally and professionally.
Hey woman!!! I’m soooo super excited for you!! Congrats and then some!!! So happy for you both! Ho’omaika’i ‘ana for your Male ‘ana!
We’re all off to the islands for 26 days of Mele Kalikimaka in 28 days…will think of you–love your picts from Maui, Oahu, Kauaii–I wrote down a few things to make sure we eat/drink when we get there!
Nope, she’s always lived on Oahu–near Waikiki, Hawaii Kai, Ewa Beach and now in Waikele. I can’t wait to have some Primo! I don’t think I’ve ever had any–always do the Longboard Lager from Kona Brewing Co and of course the mai tais at Dukes or lychee martinis! I’m so pumped to see Henry Kapono and Ten Feet perform live! Love, love, love them! Along with Ekolu! Have you or Dallas heard them live? I always listen to KCCN streaming audio…keeps my island state of mind!
I guess I’m a bit behind on the news! Congratulations Dallas and Rachelle. I’m thrilled!! Did he get down on one knee? I never saw you two kissing before!!!!
This demands that I un-lurk to congrat you and Dallas! (Dallas was my housemate in Somerville many years ago) Tell Dallas that Chris and I went the same route as you two: buy a house/condo THEN get married. Now we are onto kids: our little Chloe is almost 4months old! – Gwen Erskine
Hey, Gwen – Thanks for de-lurking. I just called Dallas (I’m travelling in NYC this week and he is at home). He was like “ohhh, yehhh.. Gwen! Wow.” He said it’s been something like 8 years since you guys were housemates? Crazy to think what we were all doing that long ago. Dallas said to say “Hi.” I think that house then marriage is the new thing to do these days. I know several who have gone this route! Chloe is such a cute name!
Hurray! Congratulations!
Thanks, Natalie!
Congrats!!!! I am so happy for you!
Thanks, Stac !
GO you two! Congratulations!
Thanks, Colleen! I asked Dallas to call Rob, but wasn’t sure if he did. He was making a lot of phone calls these past few days and I don’t think he really likes talking on the phone!

Thanks, Linda! Which islands are you going to?
We’re spending 6 days in Maui and the rest in Oahu (Waikele) with my sister. My mom is going too–dad is staying home in the cold. ugh!
Did your sister used to live on Maui or am I imagining things? Your dad is crazy.

Thanks, Herm! Missed you last time you were in town. Hopefully can catch up soon.
