Hawaiian Food Court

When Dallas came home from golfing we got ready in our room and then ate a quick dinner at the Royal Hawaiian food court before going out. The food courts in Hawaii are so diverse compared to at home. Here you can see Kenny’s Hawaiian Barbecue, Ezogiku Ramen, Yummy Korean Barbecue, Sbarro, and Maui Taco.

    • Dallas made that comment a few times when we walked past a Denny’s or other large chain restaurant that is available on the mainland. We’d look in the window and would see it full of white mainlanders. My thoughts are this:

The majority of tourists in Hawaii are people from the US mainland and Japan. There are a lot of mainland chains in Hawaii. There are also a lot of Japanese chains in Hawaii. Curry House that we visited and I posted on previously is a Japanese restaurant chain that has locations in Japan and Hawaii. Everyone rips on mainlanders for eating at mainland restaurants but no one cares that the Japanese tourists are all eating in Japanese restaurants. It’s just more foreign and exotic so it seems cool for some reason.

      • That being said, I agree with you from a personal standpoint. For almost 2 full weeks, I don’t think we ate or drank much of anything that we could get back home!
