Milwaukee Avenue, Near North Side, Chicago

After working out at the gym I take the Grand Avenue bus (#65) to the intersection of Grand/Halstead/Milwaukee. Then I either take the Milwaukee Avenue bus (#56) or the Blue Line train to California Avenue. The Grand/Halstead/Milwaukee intersection is really busy with traffic and restaurants and business, in general. Which is why I think it’s strange that there’s all these creepy, vacant, abandoned buildings right at that intersection on Milwaukee Avenue.

Agreed! What is that weird building with the French-style slanted roof tower? I always wonder about it.
