I guess it’s ok to show one truck is a Toyota but not to show that the main character’s, Mma Ramotswe‘s, truck is a Datsun. It says Atsun. View Larger Here.

I have been watching The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency on HBO and I have been reading the first book in the series, on Jen’s recommendation.

    Very classy television/shelf setup!

Oh, thanks! That’s actually our fireplace mantel.

Dallas is out of town for 8 days on business and for some reason when that happens I tend to get a lot of stuff done.. don’t know why I don’t do it when he’s home.. but one of the projects I did was properly decorate the mantel with things we had either in closets, cupboards or other places in the condo. I like how it turned out.. glad you do too.

FYI, all those little pitchers/glasses are from sake sets. We must have at least 3 or 4 sets of sake pitchers and glasses.

Also a big fan of that setup.

I wish our walls could handle the wall-mounting – I would love to do the same sort of thing.

Thanks. You can see the TV & the fireplace in this photo. One other thing we did recently was move the PS2 and Wii to our downstairs den/rec room area. So now we just have one cable box cord going down from the TV. I guess we could get rid of that too, but it would involve smashing holes in the wall then repairing them. No thanks!

    love the setup!

How do you like the Samsung? I’ve been looking at TVs and trying to find out some information on the different brands.

    • RachelleB

The Samsung is great. We’ve had it for a couple years. I don’t know that much about these TVs though. Dallas does all the research. All I know is that this TV is a plasma and it’s really heavy.. and that an LCD TV is a good quality TV too but it is a lot lighter. I should have you talk to Dallas! I can’t imagine a TV this big in your place! It would be your whole wall. .. or bigger than your wall!

Actually she should be driving a small white van…not a truck. Her little white van is a big part of the storyline in the books.

I wish I had Showtime so I could watch. I love the books.

Hey, Sue.. the show is on HBO, not Showtime.. so if you have HBO, tune in!

I noticed that in the books she drives a little van and on the show it’s a little truck. Both work!
