Awesome. With no warning or reason, Twitter just decided to suspend my account this morning. I have an email in to customer support, but no reply so far. As far as I can tell, and by any stretch of the imagination, I have not violated any of their terms of service. What’s up, Twitter?

I followed you but you disappeared my following list today, so I come to check this out here. Hope your account back soon…

Well that would have put me over the edge today. I hope they release you back into the twitter world soon. I’m sure it was just a glitch, but obviously an extremely annoying one. Good luck!

I’m curious to see how well/quickly Twitter’s customer service handles this…

    you naughty naughty girl you

I followed the link to their suspension policy and read through the list of “offenses”. The only possible thing they could have beef with (and this is merely a guess, not an indictment) is the weight of *links* versus *personal updates* in your twitter stream.

Personally, I don’t give a rat’s ass – links to your site ARE personal updates so it makes no difference to me. I’m just betting Twitter doesn’t differentiate between that and the proliferation of spam-bots out there using twitter as a means of link-bombing.

I know what you’re saying.. but I only update my site once/day.. MAYBE sometimes 2x/day… and I have a ton more twitters per day to drown out that ratio. Seems odd.

I’m sure you did nothing wrong, twitter is flake-o-rama!

  • Richard

Maybe it was because of that profile picture of you in your Snuggie.

Wondered why I saw nothing lately. Hope they get back to you. They must be sweeping randomly for something askew.

  • Greg

Maybe you should be on loser.com instead of Twitter? I’m just saying.

My access was restored a while ago.. bout 50 hours later. .. apparently I was a part of some kind of “spam cloud,” whatever that is….

  • Joel

They probably took this long, Rachelle, because they were getting ready to go on OPRAH!

    wait … what … ?!?! They’re ON OPRAH?!

hahahha. i know.. the oprah thing was bad timing. im sure it did not help. 1,000 tickets saying they cant figure out how to tweet that their baby just smiled.. or was that gas?

actually, i could see who my ticket was assigned to and i could see her twitter stream.. so yesterday it said she was traveling and behind on her tickets (no idea why they dont get reassigned if someone is offline for an extended period) and then today it said she was like 500+ tickets behind.

if anyone can tell me what a “spam cloud” is i’ll buy you a beer.

I have several websites and i got suspended too and no warning nothing and can not get an answer so here i sit with all my stuff tied to twitter that i guess i will have to untie did you ever get it fixed.
i think i will write a squidoo page on this and start a squidoo club of suspended accounts for no reason

  • AlexDuvot

Twitter did the same thing to me,
unexpected, i did nothing wrong, and blocked me
its going on 3 weeks, did they ever unblock you

    • RachelleB

yes, they unblocked it after a few days. I think I was accidentally caught up in some spamming scheme. I wrote a support ticket and they fixed it.
