During January Pizza Hut was running a ton of commercials on TV for The Natural Rustica pizza. This pizza is described as follows:
Rustica sausage, marinated sliced Roma tomatoes, and fire-roasted red peppers. Served on a multigrain crust with a flavorful all-natural sauce made from vine-ripened tomatoes and topped with all-natural mozzarella cheese.
It’s tagline is “Choose Real Taste.” I guess all the other pizzas up to that point were Fake Taste. in any case, every time the commercial came on Dallas said “I’m verrry interested in trying that pizza.” Kind of odd since we never order pizza, let alone Pizza Hut pizza. I couldn’t even remember the last time I had Pizza Hut pizza. Finally I had to admit I was interested too.
We went online and found out you can order Pizza Hut pizza from their website. You don’t even have to call them. Just pick what you want off the menu and it comes to you. Magic!
Dallas and I both thought the pizza was good, but like I said, we hardly ever get pizza so we’re hardly on the up and up as to great pizza right now. I eat more Lean Cuisine pizza than I’d care to admit so any kind of “real” pizza is a special treat for me. Still, I was kind of more impressed with the ordering process than I was with the pizza. Dallas remembers it arriving not very hot. I liked the fact that you could identify real tomatoes on the pizza. Intellectually, I like the fact that the crust was multi-grain and that the ingredients were “all natural,” but when it comes down to it, it’s pizza. Is it really much better for you than the regular Pizza Hut pizza?
