This morning I woke up and was looking at email and reading feeds. I noticed that in Cinnamon’s Flickr photostream she had a screenshot of an ABC7 segment on Twitter that aired last night. The screenshot was of ABC’s video showing a Twitter user was following. What was odd about it was that I was following every person that this Twitter user was. Turns out? ABC7 showed my Twitter account several times during the segment. Thanks, ABC!
- View the ABC7 Twitter segment
- The last time I was on ABC7 (like actually talking and stuff)
- That one time I was on Chicago Tonight
also, I forgot to note that ABC must have been sitting on this segment for a while. The twitter messages that are shown in the screen shots are from October 29.
So that’s how they got my name scrolling on the screen! I couldn’t figure out who’s account they were using!
My superstar status continues to grow at a steady pace. Wait till 2032.
It pays to have a profile image.
they were not logged in as me or anything.. it’s just twitter.com/rachelleb .. so my @ replies to you were showing
Twitter Hype About To Reach Critical Mass… // Jan 13, 2009 at 11:33 am
[...] I tried to explain Twitter a few posts ago. This video from Channel 7 in Chicago does the same and has screen shots of my friend Rachelle’s Twitter page. [...]
Niiiiiiiiice.
Hi RachelleB, we found out about Jason’s idea for a story back in October when @ev at twitter made a tweet about it.
@ejacqui contacted Jason and invited him to a tweet up at The Pepper Canister in river north and we invited a few of our friends.
That phone and contact list is either mine (@clint) or @ejacqui’s or @leahones or @chartier or @jkestr or @reckless. They filmed me using Twitter on my phone for a little while so it’s probably mine
Also I made an annotated a screen shot from the video on my blog:

Clint – Thanks for the background info. Very interesting. Oh, and how did you get the ABC7 video embedded on your site? I was trying to figure out how to do that!
