Logan Square, Chicago
I took this photo from the California Blue Line platform just as the train was pulling up this morning around 8:30 a.m. I’m sure there’s more snow out there now, but this is how much was had when I was going to work. I shoveled before I left. It was a really lightweight snow. I don’t mind the snow too much. I heard that next week there are a few days where the high temperature for the day is predicted to be in the single digits. .. that’s what I do mind!
In Milwaukee they are forecasting highs below zero.
It is still snowing right now.
Something was bugging me about this photo but I didn’t know what… I think I figured it out.
1. This is only about a block from our house and they have recycle bins (blue) and we don’t.
2. The bins are in front of their house. Usually in Chicago your trash and recycle bins are behind your house in the ally. The garbage trucks drive down the ally and gather the garbage. I wonder if there is no ally behind these houses. I’ll have to look closer next time I’m over there.
