California Food Mart is located right next to the California Blue Line stop, which makes it super convenient. It’s a small convenience store that reminds me of my New York bodegas. I find myself going to California Food Mart often for odds and ends – stick of butter, milk, soda, etc.
The first time I went to the store I mentioned to the man working the register that we just moved to the neighborhood. He told me to let him know if there’s anything that I’m looking for that I they don’t carry and they’ll try to get it. He said he likes to make sure he’s carrying what people are looking for.. thought that was really nice.
This bodega appears in my movie Stealing Kisses (http://www.stealingkissesmovie.com). It, too reminded me of New York where I lived for five years (moved back here a year ago).

Am I that freaky!??!? And if you are talking about Taqueria Moran, then I am offended bc that places rules and we eat there at least 1x/week. It is on the north side of the street, though, so I don’t know if that’s the place you mean.
