I’m aware that Hulu has been around for a while now, but I never really thought I had a need for it. Well, now after our move I’ve been using it a lot. Our TV isn’t hooked up yet (Direct TV won’t do it, we’ve already paid for NFL Sunday Ticket there, can’t decide what we want to do) so I’ve been watching full episodes of TV shows and some full movies on Hulu. I just noticed now that Hulu was one of Time Magazine’s best inventions of 2008. I’ll say so!

I have a strong hatred of DirecTV and would love to know why they won’t hook up your system. I’m sure it’ll only add fuel to my fire towards them.

I’ve been loving Hulu also. Totally loving the experience on the web.

Justin - is your TV hooked up yet? You just moved right before us.
Julie - something about the cabling coming into our building is split up and they won’t install on a split line because there could be signal degredation. Or something. We’d have to rewire and drill through masonry and eff up our nice new walls inside… even though this place is already pre wired to the max.

Hey Rachel,
Hulu isn’t available here in the U.K. Ever since I relocated here I have been trying to find an alternative that won’t restrict programming to within the U.S.
Any suggestions, besides YouTube?

Try veoh.com — it’s an aggregate site that includes shows from all the other internet TV sites, including abc, cbs, hulu, etc.
