Chubby Wieners, Lincoln Square, Chicago
Chubby Wieners is across from the farmers market I used to go to on Tuesdays. It always made me laugh a little. I’ve never eaten there but Alden said it is good. I don’t know if it’s any better than other hot dog joints, but as their site says, “why settle for a 6″ when you can have a chubby?”

I live around the corner from the Chubby Wieners and have been there many times. Their standard “Chicago Style” dog is well, standard. If you want a bigger dog you can get the “Chubby Wiener” which is larger.
Their Fries (a small order comes with everything) have an additional batter coating which makes them extra crispy and aids them is standing up to a heaping portion of chili and cheese, but part of me just wants to walk on by and head to Hot Doug’s (if they’re open that is).
