… and that 90% is African and Latin American coffees. They still named it after the Hawaiian Queen. Also, Hawaiian people correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t the correct spelling is Kapiolani. Maybe Kopelani is a word too? Who knows. Doesn’t make up for the fact that it’s only a small percentage Hawaiian coffee.

Supposedly, “Kopelani” translates into “heavenly coffee,” per Starbucks’ website. I guess it has nothing to do with Abigail Helen Kapiolani Kawananakoa, who was actually a princess, not a queen.

Funnily enough, even if a 1 lb. bag of coffee has one Kona coffee bean, it’s considered a “Kona-blend”! Booooo!
I LURVE Kona coffee…..it’s the most delicious coffee that exists.
