An old photo I came across from the Google days. This was one of our desserts one day: Chocolate chip cookies with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups pressed into them.

Oh my god! That is just wrong, wrong, wrong. I’ll take half a dozen please and a big glass of milk.

ha. just blew your minds. they are full-sized cookies with full-sized peanut butter cups. I was thinking about trying to make them, but with mini peanut butter cups. maybe i’ll experiment more around the holidays. i’m sure someone will volunteer to be my guinea pig!

If this is wrong I don’t want to be right…although looking at this I’m thinking the pb cups need to be completely embedded and surrounded by the cookie..like a big old cookie ball with a chocolatie-peanut butter suprise inside…I don’t know how they’d come out but in my mind they’re fabulous!

OMG that was soo deliciously cruel! They obviously bake the cookies with them in the middle

how do i get this recipe????

  • RachelleB

erin – unfortunately, I don’t have the recipe. I do have a friend who tried to make these, though. Maybe I can have him give you his tips.

Erin, I am the friend that made the cookies and I didn’t deviate from The Simple.

First, I made a batch of Toll House with small-sized morsels and pressed them somewhat flat on the cookie sheet.

Then, when the cookies were browned (as I like them), I removed them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Then, I pressed peanut butter cups into their centers.

In other words, the recipe can be exactly like the photo — chocolate chip cookies with peanut cups smashed into them. In hindsight, though, I would have used smaller peanut butter cups. because I used large ones, it sort of converted the cookie into a peanut butter cup delivery vessel.

I know I’m kind of late here, but … Dan, c’mon, what’s wrong with being a peanut butter cup delivery vessel? :D I think I’m gonna try making these. I mean, seriously, how can I not, now I’ve seen them?
