When Stephanie was staying with us in 2006 she really wanted to go to the Sears Tower, but when we got there the visibility was 0% so we decided to do something else. This visit she still wanted to go and I still had never been so we went on Sunday. It was a great day for the views. Not totally clear, a few clouds, but still really good. I could sit all day and just stare out those windows. Good thing I don’t work in the Sears Tower.
We ordered the Sears Tower tickets online, which is a HUGE time saver when you get there since the ticket line is miles long. You just print the tickets off right at home and advance to the front of the line when you get there. The tickets are good for 3 days before or after the date printed on the ticket, so if you’re visiting Chicago and are not sure what day you’ll got to the Sears Tower, then you’ve got a good range to work with. Or if the weather turns out shotty then you can go a different day.
When we got to the top of the tower Stephanie said “I must admit, this is actually pretty cool,” which, coming from a tween/teen, I think must be a huge compliment.
