Apple Store, Michigan Avenue, Chicago
I can’t think of what else this line would be for. I walked past the Apple store a few times yesterday and the line only got longer, until there were about 30 people wrapped around the other side of the building.

Hi Rachelle,
First off, welcome back! Your vacation looked amazing!
Also, I was at that Apple store last week to fix an errant iPod, and yes, that line is there for folks wanting to buy the new iPhone. Insanity personified. Isn’t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? Are these folks expecting a magical shipment of iPhones to appear out of thin air?

I had no idea! I thought that people only lined up on the first day or two.. but it’s been a while since the new one came out, hasn’t it? I’m a little behind on tech news lately.

In all serious, if you could send me an update each day about the line, I’d be greatful. I went on the first day but had to leave the line for work and to buy certain concert tickets when they went on sale. Each other time I’ve passed by, there’s still been a line or the line has been cut off for the night.
