Note for Larry @ Volo, Roscoe Village, Chicago
The rain broke so I ran out to Robey’s to get some soup and a salad. (I get the chopped chicken salad from Robey’s so much that it should be a crime.) Of course, it started pouring on my walk back. I ducked into Volo’s doorway to avoid the worst of it and saw this sign for Larry. I find it kind of odd. The note seems to be left for someone who has a key, but it’s so formal. “Thank you for your compliance” ? And why does it say it’s “at Volo” when the sign is on the door to Volo? Seems unnecessary. The note is kind of small town-y, but that’s Roscoe Village for you… a village in a big city!
I had to look it up, PDV shrimp is peeled and deveined shrimp.
