Dear internet: No, I didn’t cry today. Love, Rachelle

Today I think everyone I know emailled, IMed and Twittered the news to me that Brett Favre is retiring. And just about everyone assumed that I’d be outraged or sad. Honestly, I don’t think he could have repeated his performace from last year and I’m kind of happy that he is leaving on a high note and not as an old struggling quarterback who is past his prime. Last season was awesome. More than anyone expected, I think. Remember Costanza, “When you hit that high note, you say goodnight and walk off.” Thanks for the memories, Brett Favre!

i didn’t cry today, but i’m sad. it’s the end of an era.

my dad said he was turning any channel off that was doing anything about it, because they were talking about it for hours and hours and he was sick of it. they were ‘going on and on and how long can you talk about it?!?’

    classic.
