Scrabulous

February 8th, 2008 · 4 Comments

The other night Dallas and I were watching TV and all these people were singing some song called “Fabulous.” Neither of us knew it. We just looked at each other and acknowledged that we’re now officially old people.*

The very next day I came across this parody of the song called “Scrabulous,” which is awesome. And since I don’t know the original song, I just have the Scrabulous song in my head all the time. The best line is “L,T, S and R ain’t going to get you very far. J, Z, Q, Dub that’s the stuff you gotta love.”

Scrabulous on Facebook was a good friend to me when I had my surgery. If they get shut down I’m going to cry. I am not very good, but I like to play, so if you’re on FaceBook and want a guaranteed win, challenge me.

* John just told me Fergie sings “Fabulous.”

To correct John, Fergie sings “Glamorous.”
If you ain’t got no money take your broke ass home. G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S
I’m embarrassed to have just written that, but how could you have missed that this past year!? I mean, seriously.

Greg – Probably my mistake. Either I wrote it wrong here or was singing it wrong at work. I’m sure he’s all up to date on his Fergie. HA

Ha, I feel better knowing the John had it right. You, though, I’m worried about. You missed out on one of the most annoying songs of 2007! Wait, that’s a good thing…

and fergie’s song is a rip-off/sample of sheila e’s “the glamorous life.’ man, i AM old.

i swear to god, i PROMISED myself i wouldn’t do facebook. i was so pissed when it became open to non-students, because it meant there was another thing that was hot and trendy that i’d be tempted to do. and i haven’t succumbed this far. but this effin’ scrabulous thing is very tempting. VERY tempting.
