Scooter’s Chocolate Frozen Custard, Lakeview, Chicago
Figures, now that summer is almost over, Dallas and I went to Scooter’s Frozen Custard for the first time. On Saturday we had dinner and then it was so nice out, we went for a walk and ended up at Scooter’s. The frozen custard was good… I don’t know if I’d say it’s as good as Kopp’s or Culver’s, but it’s definitely closer to our house!

What was the name of the ice cream place you took us to the first time we came down to see you in Chi? Wait - that WAS Chi, wasn’t it? I don’t think it was NYC. It was near a train stop. I think Tien was with us? My memory’s not so great these days. I just remember waiting outside for a while to get a table.

after meaning to go to scooters from the moment it opened, i finally got there for the first time about a month ago. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. man, frozen custard kicks all frozen treats’ ass.

To the person who works @ Scooters - Are you open year round? We were wondering. And wishing that our local ice cream/gelato shop on Roscoe was open longer. It’s only Memorial Day - Labor Day (barely Labor Day).
