Killian, Mac’s, Ukrainian Village, Chicago

On Friday night we all went to Mac’s to help celebrate Liz’s last day “working for the man.” Liz has grown her clientèle so much that she now is able to work as a therapist, full-time, on her own. Also on Friday, the Cubs played Cincinnati and won. Milwaukee played San Diego and lost. Which means that the Cubs clinched the NL Central title. I think this might have been the happiest day in Killian’s life, including the day he met or proposed to Liz. Kidding, but he and his brother Malachy and pretty much everyone in the bar was freaking out. It was pandemonium for a bit there. Crazy.

Finally, John and Susan were in town and met up with us at Mac’s. I was able to meet up with Susan on one of my business trips to California, but I hadn’t seen John since they moved to San Francisco, so it was nice to spend time with them.
